Roasted Root Veggies

Sweet and white potatoes, turnips and carrots all roasted to perfection with thyme and onion soup mix for extra flavor!

Preheat oven to 350

What you’ll need:

1 small turnip

2  sweet potatoes

3 carrots

2 small white potatoes

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 packet onion soup mix


Peel and chop all the vegetables.

Toss them with olive oil, butter, onion soup mix and thyme.

Roast for 40 minutes in a baking pan with 1/3 cup of water. All vegetables should be tender with a little color on top.

This is a very pretty dish in the fall next to a roast chicken or even at the thanksgiving table.

If you’re going to load up on carbs do it with a dish like this! So much better for you than the readily available over processed stuff we can be tempted with.
