Most of the time we see chili with ground beef or ground turkey… both are yummy in my opinion. This version uses shaved beef and it’s my husbands favorite. It doesn’t exactly stick with my diet plan but he requested it so here it is!
1-2 pounds shaved or a chunk of beef
2 Jalapeños minced
1/2 onion minced
1/2 green pepper minced
Garlic cloves minced
1 can diced tomatoes
2 cans preferred beans (I used chili flavored black and kidney)
Celery stalk chopped
And lots of spices, a packet of chili seasoning, adobo, salt, pepper, oregano, paprika, ground red pepper, and cumin. Use the whole packet of chili seasoning and about 1/2 tsp of each other spice.
**I ended up using an extra can of navy beans in this one because I had so much meat. Typically with a pound 2 cans and 2 pounds 3 cans
- Put it in all in the crock pot
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours
And it’s just that simple!
